I have talked to some people that feel that anyone who are unable to pay the minimum payments are being dishonest and that consumers should pay in full what the credit card companies says they owe. I can say that most of the people I speak with want to pay off their credit cards, they just need help in doing so.

Most people are not looking to walk away Scot free because if they did they would not be trying to work out some kind of plan to pay off the balances of their credit cards with the help of a debt negotiations company. You should not judge someone who is using a credit card debt settlement company to negotiate their debts until you know what the reason they are having trouble paying on their credit cards. There are some things that we have no control over and with the high number of Americans losing their jobs, this may be the only option for them besides Bankruptcy. Plus when you have a family to support, you have to make sure you have a roof over your head and food on the table.
